CET offers the following resources to UCT educators who are interested in exploring or using educational technology in their teaching.
Curriculum Partnerships
CET works in partnership with educators on curriculum projects involving educational technology. These projects include developing online teaching and learning resources to support specific curricula or course objectives. For more information, contact Glenda Cox (Curriculum Projects Co-ordinator).
CET offers start up grants from the Mellon Foundation to educators to support the use of educational technology in their teaching. Educators can use these grants to address particular teaching and learning challenges faced by themselves or their students. CET develops and supports online learning environments (Vula) and other learning technologies which support teaching and learning in UCT courses. For more information, contact Stephen Marquard (Learning Technologies Co-ordinator).
Workshops and Seminars
CET works with UCT educators to develop capacity to teach effectively with technology. CET presents workshops, seminars and 'show and tell' sessions to raise educators' awareness of ways in which educational technology can be used for teaching and learning..
