Raymond Kekwaletswe (PhD student - Information Systems)
Raymond's research explores the notions of context awareness and social presence for student support. Other research foci include ubiquitous mobile computing and emerging technologies that support learning environments.His project is closely linked to CET's mobile project. Raymond's studies is currently supported by a bursary from CET.
Ken Masters (PhD student - Medical Informatics)
Ken is investigating South African General Practitioners' use of the Internet with the view to developing models for efficient delivery of health care services.
Patient Rambe (PhD student - Education)
Patient is working on his thesis titled Working towards cognitive and socio-cultural approaches for designing learning management systems . A Case of the University of Cape Town.

Tawona Nyirenda (Masters in Information Systems)
Tawona graduated in 2006. The title of her thesis is Social Interaction Online: The Case of Online Research Conference.

Jakob Pederson (Masters in Information Studies)
In 2005 CET hosted Jakob Pedersen from the University of Aarhus in Denmark as an International Affiliate. Jakob was here conducting research for his thesis Wiring the Global - Wiring the World? . His project focused on globalising effects of ICT in small communities and was based on empirical data in the township of Thembalethu, in conjunction with additional case studies.
