Glenda's portfolio includes: Curriculum projects, Teaching with technology innovation grants, Open Education Resources and Staff development. As part of the Staff Developments Team, Glenda is responsible for organising workshops and seminars which encourage staff to explore the possibilities of using technology in their teaching. Another purpose of these events is to showcase various aspects of educational technology and the work that prominent academics have accomplished in this field.

Within Staff Development, Glenda’s key research area focuses on reasons why academic staff choose to move away from traditional methods of teaching. One of her main passions involves uncovering the innovative ways staff incorporate technology into their teaching. She believes showcasing staff who are brilliant teachers, both in traditional face-to-face classrooms and the online world, is of great importance. She is dedicated to teaching with technology and takes on many endeavours, often juggling tasks that should be handled by more than one person. In this respect, she has proven herself to be irreplaceable.

On top of her hectic schedule, she teaches staff how to use Vula. Her approachable teaching style allows students to be at ease with the tool. We at CET like to practice what we preach and Glenda takes pride in being the best teacher she can be, both traditionally and online.

After work, Glenda is kept very busy by her two little sons. She is also a keen horse rider, spending time with Chikara Antonia,a beautiful South African Warmblood with a feisty personality.
